Reviews and prepares recommendations to the County Commission on environmental permit issues, ordinance changes or other matters of public policy as it relates to the Division’s programs and environmental issues.Responsible for technical oversight for NRM programs to the BCC/EPC/Commissioners/other environmental agencies/environmental groups, reviews ordinance/Comp Plan changes, potential delegation of programs from FDEP, and provides input to pending regulations/legislation.Prepares, coordinates and reviews consent agendas and discussion reports for coordination with the Division Manager.Meets with the Mayor, County Commissioners, County Administration and other senior staff, and attends Board meetings as needed to provide information on environmental quality, impacts, and permits, and other issues related to the environment.Interpret and enforce Chapter 15, Environmental Control of County Ordinances.Prepares and manages the Natural Resource Management budget and ensure the effective delivery of services and compliance with established fiscal policy guidelines.Manages Natural Resource Management personnel matters to include hiring, discipline, training and development, performance appraisals and related activities.Performs other related duties as assigned.St. Johns River Water Management District, Maitland Florida
