Mike has an extensive background conducting jurisdictional wetland determinations and other wetlands permitting and mitigation design projects in his over 40 year career in environmental assessments. He has been employed by Florida DEP and Broward County for about half of his career while conducting private consulting for the latter part. He was instrumental in the development of the WBI (Wetlands Benefit Index - a precursor to WRAP and UMAM), one of the first wetland assessment methods to be codified in the U.S.
